Because I have always lived in the South, I have been bred to be terrified of cold weather. It is unexpected and dangerous. The minute snow was foretold to be rolling into town, I rolled out of town.
I have seen snow on campus, and while it is majestic, I do not enjoy the unfortunate side effect of being trapped. The Weather Channel makes my life safe and predictable.
